Yesterday, I reported that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) had already sent out nearly 90 million checks containing stimulus funds but they just updated this total to 120 million. (This number includes both paper checks and direct deposits.)
The Treasury department expects to send out about 170 million checks so there are “only” approximately 50 million left to be sent out.
If you were able to use the IRS get my payment tool before April 22, you should have already received your funds but if you were not successful with using that, you might still be waiting to get them.
In addition, “beneficiaries of retirement, disability or survivor Social Security who don’t usually need to file tax returns were set to receive payments Wednesday.”
As a reminder, here are estimated dates for the arrival of paper checks based on income:
- Under $10,000: April 24
- $10,001 – $20,000: May 1
- $20,001 – $30,000: May 8
- $30,001 – $40,000: May 15
- $40,001 – $50,000: May 22
- $50,001 – $60,000: May 29
- $60,001 – $70,000: June 5
- $70,001 – $80,000: June 12
- $80,001 – $90,000: June 19
- $90,001 – $100,000: June 26
- $100,001 – $110,000: July 3
- $110,001 – $120,000: July 10
- $120,001 – $130,000: July 17
- $130,001- $140,000: July 24
- $140,001 – $150,000: July 31
- $150,001 – $160,000: August 7
- $160,001 – $170,000: August 14
- $170,001 – $180,000: August 21
- $180,001 – $190,000: August 28
- $190,001 – $198,000: September 4

Either your article is a lie or the info you got from IRS is lying about dates. I have direct deposit, My income is under $8,230 and I receive Social Security and above your statement for that is April 24 th well here it is May 1 at and still NO $1,200 stimulus check. Oh by the way I am a Democrat
I think they lied I am on social security and am taking care of my two granddaughter’s it was stated socisl security receipents will get there payments in April well no pmt yet here it is may the first and it was stated by May first social security would have there payments direct deposited well no stimolus check yet now we’re told by the fifth when the fifth rolls around it will be another stall and why did the dead people get the check there dead were alive and have kids to care for why don’t we count before the dead prople
We just keep getting the message now that we are eligible , it will be deposited in our bank acct (correct numbers shown) and they will update the site with a payment date when they have a payment date. At this point I will believe it when I see it. Its particularly irritating because we pay every year and those who got refunds got theirs weeks ago.
I have an autistic son who received SSI my name is on his direct express card, and still no money???

Hi and good afternoon, I’ve been getting my SSI and SSDI directly deposited since 1993, this morning I checked my bank, and only my SSI & SSDI checks have been deposited, I check with both SSA & IRS web pages, and all they say is that those of us on filers on SSI & SSDI direct deposit did not have to do anything, due to our direct deposits we were supposed to get our stimulus checks, and they have not arrived as of yet. Thank you

My neighbor had received her stimulas check on the exact date given by the IRS, peculiar as that may be. But I know of no one else who has received their stimulas checks according to the date given by the IRS.
Clearly their in over their heads and NOT terribly motivated to work as efficiently as the government attests – after all their working from home.
This is not rocket science, hold the government to their word. After decades of paying into the system, they should have been far more progressed in making payments to the people, no matter the numbers.
