We now know that Republicans are set on offering an additional round of stimulus checks in the next stimulus package.

Although there was a lot of speculation that the eligibility would be limited to those making $40,000 per year, it seems that the Republicans ditched that requirement and now are committed to sending out direct payments based on the same eligibility criteria that the first round used.

This is great news for people who are in need of some cash.

However, many of you may be interested in boosting your extra cash during these tough times.

Right now, there is a great opportunity to do this with the Chase Freedom Unlimited Card.

If you sign up and get approved for this card and then spend $500 on it in the first three months, you can get an additional $200 in cash back.

Even better than that, you can earn extra cash back on grocery purchases. Specifically, you’ll be able to earn 5% back on up to $12,000 in purchases through the end of the first year. That means you could put an extra $600 back in your pocket from grocery shopping with the Chase Freedom Unlimited!

This card has no annual fee so you are essentially getting free money.

I would highly recommend looking into this card if you want a little extra boost in your wallet right now. If you received a $1,200 stimulus check and combine that with the welcome bonus and bonus on grocery spend, you could be looking at an extra $2,000 — that could go a long way for many people!

Tip: Use WalletFlo to help show you which cards to use to maximize your points and help you track and manage annual fees, credits, etc. It’s free and very user-friendly so you should definitely check it out.

It’s very likely that stimulus checks will hit in August or early September. So if you had something you were planning on buying soon, you could use the Chase Freedom Unlimited to purchase that item and then pay off your balance completely with your stimulus check.

If for some reason you were not able to pay off your balance, you also get 0% interest for 15 months which is a great offer. So this card has a lot going for it and is perfect for a lot of people looking for something to help them out right now financially.

Right now, we still don’t know exactly what Democrats will try to push for. It’s possible that they may want the Republicans to expand eligibility in the same way that they initially proposed with the HEROES Act.

But at a minimum it looks like the same folks who received stimulus funds in the first round will be able to enjoy a second round of cash infusions. And now there are ways to get even more funds in your pocket via this timely credit card offer.
