White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett said today that White House officials are now “studying very carefully” the need for a second stimulus check.
In response to a question about whether he believed the $1,200 stimulus payments sent out would be enough, Hassett stated, “I think that’s something that we are studying very carefully, that I know that people in the House are as well.”
The advisor also suggested that another round of stimulus support will likely be on its way.
“I expect it is very likely there will be a phase four deal and we’re going to be speaking with the president throughout the week about what he thinks should be in there…I know that Senator McConnell and Speaker Pelosi are working on that as well. So, I think the odds of there not being another round, at least another round of legislation are pretty low.”
President Trump has already stated that a second round of relief checks was “absolutely under serious consideration.”
The next comprehensive package that has been discussed is one that might include funding for for state and local governments, infrastructure, tax incentives for businesses, and a payroll tax holiday.
So it’s possible that an additional round of stimulus checks could be wrapped up in that package.
There have been proposed stimulus funding plans by lawmakers that include as much as $2,000 per month for up to six months or when the pandemic ends. There have also been talks about forgiving rent and mortgage payments until things get back to normal.
Some of those seem “pipe dreamish” but it does seem very likely that an additional round of stimulus checks could happen, perhaps with slightly different criteria.
It seems like this will be an item of discussion this week and so we might see details begin to emerge by the end of this week or early next week. Things evolved pretty quickly with the last stimulus checks so that might be the case once again.
Also, since the payment infrastructure has now been put to the test, hopefully that second round of funding would come much quicker with fewer issues.

Look at your 2019 tax info and make sure you type the address and everything into the irs site exactly how it looks on your tax info for example if it says 1234 s maple ave and you type 1234 south maple Avenue it wont match i went through the same thing

If the name on the banking account is not a perfect match to the name being typed in for the stimulus cpayment, you will not receive it in DD. And will instead receive it to your most recent address on file. For example. Im 28, and had to make a new checking account in my name, and ONLY my name, to be able to receive the DD of the stimulus to that account.

There are send out dates posted online on MANY websites dating all the way thru until August when then the very last checks are being sent out. So until you actually google ‘dates for stimulus checks’ you will have to just be patient. They are talking about 2nd rounds because 90% of stimulus payments that have been sent out so far , since the 14th, are already completely spent and long gone by the receivers. So the government is attempting to approve a 2nd now so that they can begin sending them out at an earlier date with all of the receivers (now) updated information that will be much quicker sending then 1st round where 60% of peoples information that the IRS databases had on file, did not have correct addresses / dependant info / bank info , for 1st round to come in a timely matter. As i have said before. Just try and be patient as much as possible. I just recieved mine and i thought it would never come. 1200$ is not enough it was a drop in the bucket because we are having to wait so long. And Covid 19 has been and still is out there killing people. What they should have done immediately was to release these funds STAT! But they sat and talked about it for weeks. I went and got groceries and paid a xouple of low bills. And its gone. The price of food is outragious.Please hang in there and by the Grace of God you will get your check. My friend filed with H&R Block. I did a three way call with them and waited 2 hours and the only thing that they told me was to go to the IRS website. When I went to the IRS website they said his information does not match anything on file. I can’t reach IRS and their website keeps telling me to check the next day. I don’t know what to do for him at this point to help him get his stimulus check. I would think with his social security number we will be able to pull up his information. H & R Block has been totally no help.

Make sure when you go on its.gov my payment all your information was put in correctly. If you are a filer they need the AGI from your tax return and also bank account routing and account number then they will tell you that you are eligible. and they will be contacting you or will deposit the money in the account that is on your tax return unless you supply them with a new one. Also make sure the address you gave is the same as the spelling of your address on your tax return. Then you should be able to check every 24 hours on my payment to see when your stimulas will be sent. If you are a nonfiler just read what they say to do and follow the prompts.If you are receiving SSI or SSD you don’t have to do anything it should come soon. Hope everything works out for you.
That’s not right to talk about a 2nd stimulus check when people haven’t received there first. I watched 10 stimulus updates and haven’t recieved not one check. Its just not right

If you are receiving SSI or SSD you don’t have to do anything. You should get it on the calendar day that you receive SSI or SSD. Hope everything works out.

Dumb me being on ssd i went and spent money i should not have based on getting a stimulus that i have yet to receive. Like i said i am on SSD but my check is far less than what the stimulus check will be. So all the 24 years i worked paid in and paid for my SSD is a big joke as it is… Now being on SSD no one will hire me due to liability issues. However, neither myself or my boyfriend has received a stimulus check. He had to stop workong 10 years ago to take care of me and what working he has been able to do is under 10,000 a year. He should had been in the first group of people to receive a mailed check again another joke, as he has yet to receive a stimulus check. People on social security and ssdi there checks are going out this week. People on SSI will be getting their checks early May. I’m on SSI and I have to wait until early may. You would think people on social security ssdi, and SSI would get their checks first considering that they make the least amount, we don’t make that much so we should have gotten them first! But they don’t care about us!!

Yes I worked 25 years as a Pharmacist and my pay is now ssdi its 1/4 of what i used to make so it’s not fun making that permanent pay decrease.
Yes I feel bad for people who are on disability and do deserve it,but those people are still getting their normal pay every month on the same day,food stamps,health coverage,and all their other benefits with absolutely no disturbances what so ever. Those that work for a living some who even have businesses have suddenly been told by government that we must take and accept the consequences with no choice, for instance I have over 10000 dollars in set business costs that don’t stop, don’t get deferred, any of that. The ppp,eidl, and unemployment is all a joke first two you can’t get, unemployment says I’ll get195.00 a week and I have 3 kids counting on me to feed and house,ect. so yeah I think it is over due for the second and third round of stimulus. I was forced to quit providing for my family so yeah if you can order me to stop,you can compensate me so I don’t loose everything I busted my a$$ to get and believe me I am sure what they give me will not come close to what I have paid in taxes. So once again I understand your frustration but yeah we need to talk about a second round and act with the speed they use to tell me my taxes are due pay uncle Sam.

I went through H&R block “never again” and I had problems getting my stimulus check too, but what I found out was if u have a cash app account you can enter your cash app account info and get your stimulus check direct deposit through them.. I did it and I received my money yesterday.

I received my stimulus check in the 15th of April. I haven’t worked in two years due to cancer. My husband hasn’t worked in two year due to 2 strokes. We are both getting disability. He also gets retirement. My disability is only $568 a month. Our rent is $525. After I pay that and he pays the water, lights, and food for the month and truck note, we are broke until the 1st of each month. We could really benefit from another stimulus check to help pay for meds and gas and more food we need. Not to mention cloths that fit and are not old and torn. Anyway, God has blessed us to get by. Without him, I don’t know we’re we would be. Stop leaning on people and try God, you will see a blessed change and everything you need will be added to your blessings. God bless us all. I will continue to pray for all of you.

There might not be a second stimulus. Because they are trying to open all the states so they wont need to. But they are saying there might be a second one. But with the states starting to open they will say dont need a second one because everyone would be working. And people can’t stay on unemployment if asked to go back to work. Because that would be refusal of work.

I’m on SS Disability and can barely make it from month to month, and I think it’s a shame that if you were claimed as a dependent on someone taxes you’re deemed ineligible for the stimulus. I worked and paid taxes for many years, but unfortunately I don’t receive enough money a month to maintain and have to get help from family. My sister, who helps me alot claimed me, and though she received no money for me I’m ineligible for stimulus. I know this is the case for many and that is so unfair.

I can’t speak for nobody else situation but my own, I have been doing Homehealth for over 20 and my husband WAS a machanic unfortunately 8 years ago his right hand was crushed by bobcat blade due to unskill assistant, I had to take care of him and finally after 6 years of struggling and pushing he got his social security disability he worked hard for since early 20s and I’m not disabled but we haven’t had a decent car in over 5 years been married over 11 years but only received $1200 not $2400 and yes we just need a hand up not a hand out we’re both 59

I made a mistake and filled out non filers information because I don’t file taxes. But I get SSDI and I didn’t get a stimulus check. Will filling out the non filers info stop me from getting my check because my mom is on SSI and she got her check today??

I think it is bull st___t that I do not get a stimulas check because my husband owes child support don’t the government think that people that owe child support need to pay bills or eat to I get disability and because I filed with my husband I am not untitled the stimulas the government are all crooks .they don’t help the people this is basically for rich people my husband pays every week on child support and now has been played off do to this virus we have no money to do shit with while his ex is living high off the hog and has lied to the government to get child support money saying she had the children when one was in prison the other one married and the other one lived with us but like I said they are crooks .as far as I am concerned they can keep their f—en money and give it to the rich because apparently they cannot live off over 99 thousand .or more shit if I had that I definitely could .

I am hoping and praying that the government realizes that the people that are on disability have worked hard and paid taxes and should be entitled to these stimulus checks the same as any other American, whether or not we are claimed as a dependent by another ,there is circumstances beyond our control that creates the need to be a dependent. But we are still Americans that vote and pay taxes on everything we buy.
I haven’t received mine yet either and I filed my taxes. I know people on SSI who haven’t filed taxes that received their stimulus money already. So that schedule that the IRS has for when we should receive it doesn’t mean anything!

I feel that it is wrong for them not to wave child support on absent parents whether if they owe or not This is a world wide emergency. My son is in this situation with two beautiful girls and a wife he served the United States Army for thirteen years. He has two outside kids. He was hurt serving the military he is a disabled vet. I have direct deposit and IRS has had my acct. # and all information pertinent to send a direct deposit to me because I pay taxes on the second of each month withdrawal from them. I have Social Security SSDI but the judge ruled I needed a payor. My daughter is my designated payor. They have her address as mine, as well as both of our names are on my account. I can’t access any information or speak to anyone about this as I have my own household.
I think all americans should get a second round on stimulus checks! Because $1200.00 it’s not enough to keep america going , this it’s been a total nightmare , $1200.00 Was for groceries and nothing else !!!!!!

You know the people called Dreamersgot Stimulus check just cause they were given a Social Security number. Yet they never became legal. So checks were sent illegals. I claimed my son on my 2018 taxes and on his 2019 taxes he owes because his job didn’t take out taxes at all on him when he clearly claimed 1 on his exemptions! Sending out additional stimulus will help politicians get ready elected and help the public. The 2000.00 a month would really make economic health return quickly. Employers will have people even if they pass around stimulus checks. The fact is no stimulus then elections going to change odds of re election for any politician
