Despite hearing a lot about a second round of stimulus checks from the White House, we still have not heard much if anything from the Senate.
As many of you know, in order for more stimulus checks to go out, the US Senate will have to approve the next stimulus package.
As it stands, not many people expect the Senate to pass the HEROES Act but they are optimistic that some form of that package will pass after it is revised during negotiations.
But even though many expect another stimulus package to be passed by the Senate, there has not been a lot of stimulus check details coming from the Senate other than a lot of pessimistic quotes we heard several weeks ago.
But we just found out that stimulus checks were actively discussed this past week in the Senate.
According to Fox, Oklahoma Republican senator Jim Inhofe stated that the idea of a second stimulus check filled two-hours of discussion at this week’s Senate Republican luncheon.
Although I’m sure discussions have been taking place for weeks, this is one of the first times I have heard about the Senate focusing on stimulus checks.
The senator also shed light on the prospects of more checks when he stated, “It is going to happen, it’s just not going to happen yet.”
So we now have a Republican senator claiming that more stimulus checks are going to happen.
Honestly, that is even more significant than the president claiming that checks are going to happen if you ask me.
White House support for the stimulus checks has always been at least suspected but having a Republican senator claim that stimulus checks are going to happen is big.
With the recent uptick in coronavirus cases, I would put the odds of more checks going out at extremely high at this point.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says if Congress is to pass another stimulus package, it will happen in July.
Therefore, we will likely know something very soon and checks could start hitting more Americans in August.

They need to hurry up and pass this bill because as one of the many americans still affected by covid 19 and my job is not going to re open until mid august and thats a questionmark and the extra 600 is going to end in late july we need this thing passed asap, we have bills and rent to pay, this is survival .
